Evaluation Competition

The Blackburn Castle Speakers Club held their Speech Evaluation competition on Monday 26th November 2007.  A prepared speech for evaluation was delivered by Steve Nelson from the Burnley with Pendle Speakers Club.  Four members from the club listened to the speaker and then prepared an evaluation of the speech within 8 minutes.  The evaluations were then presented to a panel of three judges, who using a formulated marking system produced a winner and runner up for the competition.

The winner was James Douglas and the runner up Michael Counter.  The winner goes through to the next round of the competition to be held at the Masonic Hall in Darwen in January 2008.  Good luck to our worthy winner!!!
