Success at Area

David Grainger was again successful in winning the North Pennine Area Speech Competition with a speech entitled "Go to Work on an Egg- Sometimes".  David was competing for the Athole Timmins Trophy against six other members from the North Pennine Area of the Association of Speakers Clubs.  This is the competative element of the Association where members have the opportunity of displaying their skills against their peers.  The aim of the Association of Speakers Clubs is to offer a supportive environment to all members in which to develop their skills in speaking to an audience and to gain confidence, all within a friendly environment.
